Gwen and Akon

Hey all! Long time, no post. Here are some pictures from my latest adventure. Rachel, my cousin and her husband, our friend Shay, his friend Lisa and about 20,00 other people went to the Gwen Stefani (featuring Akon) concert. It was a good show. Both are pretty good performers, but Gwen is really great. Our seats were general admission, so the pictures are kinda fuzzy and the dot on stage is generally the performer. Sorry. If you are ever in Phoenix during the cooler months and have the opportunity to see a show at Cricket Pavilion, I highly recommend it. It is a very cool outdoor facility.

Bobby and Tara (Cecil) Avina
My favorite morning radio personalities Rich and Johnjay although it is called the Johnjay and Rich show. Oh man, so rediculous, but so funny. Shay called Rachel a Rich and I am her Johnjay. That was funny. Funnier if you know the show though.
Akon's Stage: he is there in the middle if you look really closely.

Akon's D.J. Oh man, if he played at the club, I would so be there.

AKON! Sorry this is my best picture.

Gwen! You can see the band behind her in this photo. It was quite the set.

There were screens behind that had video and pictures and things on them. It was a very cool way to change the "scene" with out having to physically change anything. During this song her dancers were dressed in Kimonos and there was this Japanese style picture that changed in the background. This is very appropriate considering all of her 3/4 of her dancers are actually from Japan. She says they make her not look as short. They were very good.

Gwen changed costumes about every 2 songs. It was pretty awesome. She is in the middle with the white coat. I didn't take many pictures after that. I was distracted by the show.

If you have the chance to go see Gwen, it was a pretty cool show. And if you don't like Gwen, and Akon is there, he is pretty darn cute.

Nice! I wish I could have been there instead of suffering through the final two weeks if school.

Okay, I don't think I'm as big of a nerd as Rich, but what if people think we are as entertaining as those two. Maybe we should get a morning radio show with a man who can hardly speak English to do the traffic report and find a whiney intern that we can make fun of. I think we would rule. Except for the Spiderman song. That was a great moment in Johnjay and Rich history!
